Announcing Mark S. Rotondo as MCLE’s New Executive Director

Dear Colleagues,

The Board of Trustees is pleased to announce the selection of Mark S. Rotondo as MCLE’s new Executive Director, effective January 1, 2023. A practicing attorney, collaborative, dedicated educator, and results-oriented leader, Mark brings a wealth of diverse and wide-ranging experience to the position.

John ReillyMark comes to us from Cambridge College, where he currently serves as the school’s vice president for innovation and strategic initiatives and as senior adjunct faculty member, and previously served as interim provost and as director of research, planning, and evaluation. His impressive professional background boasts thirty years of experience in education, including leadership and teaching positions at Suffolk University and Bunker Hill Community College, and a wide-ranging practice as a solo practitioner in Winthrop—representing clients on topics running the gamut from landlord-tenant disputes to family matters in the Probate and Family Court.

Mark’s background also demonstrates both a commitment to the community and an understanding of the legal community. He has served on the Everett and Winthrop School Committees, the Winthrop Finance Commission, and the Everett High School Career and Technical Education Advisory Board, among others. Finally, Mark has been a practicing lawyer. He holds a Juris Doctor and Master of Law from Suffolk University Law School and a Master of Science in Public Affairs from the University of Massachusetts Boston.

Mark will succeed John M. (Jack) Reilly, who will retire at the end of December after more than four decades leading MCLE through an incredible period of growth—from exclusively a program provider in the 1970s and 80s to a program and publishing powerhouse in the 90s, to the dynamic, multiplatform CLE organization it is today. As Jack closes his lengthy and esteemed chapter at MCLE, we are excited to have Mark on board so that Jack can confidently pass the baton to his capable hands.

Please join me in welcoming Mark Rotondo to the MCLE community! We are thrilled as we consider what Mark brings to MCLE’s next chapter!

Thank you!
