    Product Description

The legalization of cannabis in Massachusetts has generated significant legal issues for Massachusetts cities and towns as they navigate the permitting and licensing of a new industry. Many Massachusetts municipalities are experiencing a significant influx of applicants seeking to locate adult-use marijuana establishments within their communities. Municipal counsel must be prepared to advise on numerous legal issues as communities establish and enforce local permitting and regulatory controls. From developing and enforcing comprehensive zoning controls and Board of Health regulations to negotiating Host Community Agreements and staying abreast of the evolving state regulations—there is much to know and learn in this rapidly changing area of law. This new program brings together expert panelists to provide insight into the complex and multifaceted legal issues faced by municipalities as they welcome cannabis businesses to their cities and towns.
