Product Description
On July 29, 2024, the American Bar Association’s Standing Committee on Ethics and Professional Responsibility issued its Formal Opinion 512 on the use of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GAI) tools. Among its charges is that attorneys “have a reasonable understanding of the capabilities and limitations of the specific GAI technology that the lawyer might use.” This program is designed to provide attorneys with a peek behind the curtain to understand the basic concepts of GAI. What are the pitfalls of using GAI and how do you account for them? This program also discusses other ethical concerns arising from using these tools, such as billing for GAI use and disclosure.
