    Product Description

With the rise of unionization in both the private and public sector in recent years, as well as an increased focus on labor law protections in non-unionized workplaces, employment and labor law practitioners must understand the various derivative issues facing employers, unions, and individual employees.

In this new program, hear from both management-side and union-side counsel about the key aspects of the unionizing process as well as the legal and practical ramifications of what happens once a group of employees has successfully unionized. The experienced faculty discuss strategies for navigating the numerous legal issues at the various agencies tasked with administering the labor laws, as well as internal employment issues.

You also learn how labor laws apply to both union and non-union employees; how to bring forward and defend against grievance and claims arising under the parties’ collective bargaining agreements and the labor laws; and how to decipher new case law and initiatives from the National Labor Relations Board.
